A Government Can Resign?

Virginia over at the Russia Adoption Blog broke the news shortly after Noon today that the Russian government resigned today. Yep, the ENTIRE government including the MOE.
This all occurred while the Russia citizens were busy procreating on their "National Conception Day." Hmm, there are so many jokes to insert here that I’m just going to skip it.
What does all this mean for us adoptive parents in waiting? Who knows! It’s just another one of the many unexpected surprises on our adoption journey. Hopefully there will be a new MOE soon and this won't have affected us at all. In fact, maybe there’s a potential for this to speed things along. What? I can hope! ;-)

As if we didn't have enough excitement right? I have to wonder what goes through a president's head when he decides to do something like this! UGhhh... I like you're thoughts that it would speed things up. :-) Hey - we're entitled to a little optimism!
This is so crazy - I sincerely thought when we started this process that it would all just fall into place. I never expected so many twists and turns. As Becky said Ughhhhh...but hopefully things will keep moving along.

I think you are right that we should be optimistic. I am glad that we are all trying to make lemonade out of lemons. When the time is right we will be matched with our child.

Maybe they will get things moving in Russia! I know you've been waiting for a long time, and maybe this new government can get the ball rolling for all of these waiting families!! :)
Okay I hadn't hear this yet. Time to start some research....
