Back to Waiting
Thursday, October 4, 2007
We found out yesterday that the MOE in our new region doesn’t have the paperwork required on the kids there to be able to offer us a referral at this time. There’s some sort of paperwork the MOE there needs before they can offer the children for international adoption that they don’t have that yet. Our agency said that they just found this out recently and weren’t aware of this when they asked us to switch regions a couple of weeks ago.
So for now, we’re back to waiting. If they get the international paperwork in the new region first we will most likely go there. Otherwise, we’re back to waiting on our agency to get their reaccredidation like we were before this all came up. If accreditation happens first, then we’ll be back to adopting from Moscow instead of the new region.

I'm so sorry. I'm sure you feel like you all have been on such a rollercoaster! I hope things get worked out in the region or that CHI gets accreditation soon!
Did they say how long they expect the paperwork snafu to take? If it's not one thing, it's something else! I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. I hope things get resolved or accreditation happens SOON!
Thanks Michael & Carrie
Becky & Keith - CHI really doesn't have any idea how long the paperwork will take. They said they thought it would have already been done so they are at a loss on how to advise us.
Oh gees - I really hope things start happening soon. I think everyone is so down right now with all the delays. I really hope they get that paperwork together and you hear soon.
So sorry for this added delay. I hope they're able to work something out quickly. Maybe they'll get accreditation in this batch!
