Moscow - Trip 2 - Day 21
Friday, February 8, 2008
This is it; our final day in Moscow! Our only trip today was to the Ministry of Education to sign paperwork to finalize everything and to let them meet Liam. Everyone was very nice and wished him a happy life. All of our CSS friends met up at TGIF tonight for one last gathering before we all head our separate ways. We’ll be leaving Doug & Kathy behind to hold down the fort here after they pick up their son tomorrow. We finished up the last of our packing after Liam went to bed and we’re exhausted. We still have hopes of making our Atlanta connection and getting home tomorrow night. With any luck, maybe our Delta flight will arrive a little early and give us more time.
We’ll leave you with a family photo taken yesterday in front of St. Basil’s Cathedral in Red Square. This photo suggests that Liam is as ready to be Texas bound as we are! Da svidániya, Russia!

Love, Love, Love the photo - Cracks me up! I am so glad you are almost on your way home. Let us know when you are home, safe and sound.
Have a safe and uneventful trip home.
Love the picture and truly understand how Liam feels :)
Yep... I had to chuckle at that picture, in a sympathetic manner, of course. :-D Now if that doesn't look like a normal day in the life of a toddler and his family, I don't know what does! He's probably thinking, "Stinkin' tourists!". ;-) Best wishes and prayers for an easy flight HOME! Love to you three.

I'm like Rachel that I too love the photo. Just like us Americans to have to take the photo in front of St. Basil's Cathedral no matter what. I'm sure you won't show it to any girlfriends later in life :o)
I'm glad you are on your way home!! Safe travels and many blessings coming your way!
Hi Dede,
I'm Kathy's mom and I got to your blog from your note on hers. I'm so glad you and she got to spend a little time together. Kathy's plane connection at NY didn't make it so she got home yesterday, which was fine as it gave her a chance to sleep between flights. I wish you a safe trip home, too, and may God bless your family. Congratulations!

I must say I LOVE this picture! I love how you guys look so natural smiling and ignoring the meltdown Liam is having. "We are halfway around the world young man and we WILL get this picture whether you like it or not" Only true parents can pull that off ;) Next thing you know you will be forcing him to sit on the lap of a big fuzzy bunny rabbit! ;-)
I think this was my favorite photos! Liam is still adorable even when he's yelling! Best wishes!
That photo makes me think it's going to be a looooooooong flight home! :-)
Great photo! Have a very safe and smooth trip home. We'll pass you somewhere over the Atlantic! We'll be sharing our news on Monday, and can't wait to hear how Liam adjusts to happy Texas life!
Love the photo. Can't wait to for you guys to get back home.
So glad it's all done and you're coming home. Weather is great here in TX which I'm sure you'll appreciate after your cold days.
Great picture! Makes me smile.
COME HOME ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great picture :) Wishing you safe travels and easy flights with Liam. Good luck!!
This picture is priceless!
