Sorry the blog posts have dropped off since we got home but as you can guess, Liam has been keeping us both very busy. He is doing so well adjusting to his new world and we are growing closer as a family day by day. The past two days he has been very affectionate and giving lots of hugs and kisses to us. I would like to take that as a sign that he is growing more fond of us.
A few things have changed with him since we got home. For starters, he no longer likes Cheerios. I guess he got burned out on them on the flight home. As of today, he drinks milk. We tried giving him milk in Moscow and right after we got home and he wouldn’t have anything to do with it but today all of sudden he likes it. Green peas are also off the food list; he will roll them around on the table and then squish them but they are not going in his mouth.
Fortunately, the one thing that hasn’t changed since we have been home is his sleeping habits. He still sleeps about 10 hours at night and takes about a 2 to 3 hour nap in the afternoon. There for a while the afternoon naps were only about 30 minutes but once we hung up heavier curtains in his room, the naps improved.
Our friends Brad & Marsha came over tonight with their 2 sons to play with Liam. Their son Sasha has been wanting to play with him ever since we got home. Sasha is 3 years older than him so I wasn't sure how they would do together but they all seemed to have fun playing together tonight and of course Liam had tears when they had to leave. Here’s a picture of the 3 of them having fun together:

Looks like Liam likes his new friends! Glad he is drinking milk. Isn't it funny how they like something one day and not the next. I'm sure he'll settle into a regular eating pattern soon. Keep us posted!
Oh my goodness, Dede, there's that huge Liam smile that was evident everytime we saw him! So, so glad you are all settling in--we're still awaiting Trip 2 court date--don't you wish you could do that flight over and over again?! All the best--can't believe Liam went off Cheerios...he loved them in Moscow! Sally
I'm glad your family is bonding and Liam is doing so well. I'm sure he loves having children over to play as it reminds him of the orphanage. I was glad to see an update and look forward to many more.
I'm really enjoying reading your stories with your new little man. So adorable and sweet. Seeing these smiles on his face is heartwarming for sure.
I'm so glad things are going well! This is such as happy time for your family!
Gosh he looks like such a happy little guy!! Liam's playtime with peas is so normal - I used to do the same thing. If we had mashed potatoes or mac and cheese, I'd hide my peas underneath. :-) The fun never ends! I'm so glad he had fun with his new little friends!
I just love that smile! :-) And it's so much fun reading your posts about how things are going. I appreciate you keeping us posted! Marlee's been sick this week, but we'll come by as soon as we can.

He looks so happy in that picture. I am so glad that he sleeps so well. I pray that my little one will sleep like that since I will be working at night.

Aww what a happy boy! :) Sounds like things are moving forward well and woohoo for long naps to give Mommy and Daddy breaks!
Sounds like things are going great! I'm so glad for you.
I can't zoom on the picture, but from what I can see, Iliya has that very same shirt! So cute!

Such a handsome little man. Always enjoy the pictures.
It's great that he is adjusting so well. How wonderful that he is sleeping so well. Glad the time change didn't mess him up too much.
